North Carolina needed an extended halftime pep talk to find its game on Tuesday. With a fire lit by Roy Williams and carried by Coby White, the Tar Heels beat Syracuse, 93-85, to stay atop the ACC standings.
UNC stuffed themselves full early in a two-game slate in Vegas, so much so the Tar Heels couldn’t recover against Texas. But like a second wind before dessert, Carolina bounced back to finish strong, and maybe find themselves in the process.
