It's a photoshoot

Yesterday, Turner Walston and Bryce Lapping were on hand for UNC photo day at Kenan stadium. This was also the spot for Larry Fedora's first press conference of the season. Check out the pictures here, and the story here.

#citr

When Michael Jordan so delicately proclaimed that "The ceiling is the roof," he started a trend. It has grown since that fateful day in March, but it now has reached its peak– becoming a hashtag. Brandon Harris took to Twitter to comment on Larry Fedora's use of #citr

Soft-Balling

Three UNC softball players were honored as All-America scholar athletes.  This award recognizes athletes who excel both on the field, and in class. A 3.5 GPA is required to receive the award.

Eric Ebron is one of the best tight ends to ever wear Tar Heel blue. He is working toward becoming a legitimate red-zone threat in the NFL, but nagging injuries keep getting in his way. ESPN's Michael Rothstein kept a close eye on Ebron yesterday at practice.

One Small Chop for Man, One Giant Leap for UNC

Former Tar Heel kicker, Nick Weiler, sent ripples throughout the sports highlight community last fall by trolling Florida State after nailing a game-winning field goal. 10 months later, Seminole super-fan Mia Khalifa still has hard feelings about the celebration.

Good morning to everyone except that UNC kicker that tomahawk chopped down the field when he beat FSU

Put a Ring on It

The volleyball season has yet to start, but the Tar Heels are already feeling the weight... of some brand new jewelry.

Coming Up at Argyle Report

Today we will have a XC preview coming, and a UNC fantasy football piece. Be thinking about the top single-game performances since 2000, and then check your answers later on this morning.
Looking forward, we'll have a report from Marie McCool's experience playing in the Women's Lacrosse World Cup and World Games, the weekly Argyle playlist, and a whole bunch of your favorite memories of bygone Franklin Street establishments. All that and more on Argyle Report this week!

Diversion of the Day

I've never seen anything like this unearthly power from Little League slugger, Jayce Blalock. Seriously, if any one wants to talk about this video, tweet me, we can talk about this all day.
