Here’s what took place in week eight of the NFL regular season for the various Pro Heels:
In a close game between the Indianapolis Colts and Cincinnati Bengals, Giovani Bernard had five rushing yards.
The Chicago Bears traveled to play the New Orleans Saints. Bears quarterback Mitch Trubisky went 14-for-32 for 164 yards and one interception. Connor Barth made a 27-yard field goal and a 44-yard field goal while failing to make a 48-yard field goal for the Bears.
In the Philadelphia Eagles’ 33-10 win over the San Francisco 49ers, Mack Hollins finished the game with 30 receiving yards for the Eagles.
The Houston Texans visited the Seattle Seahawks at home. Naz Jones had two assists and one tackle for the Seahawks. The Seahawks defeated the Texans 41-38 as they scored a touchdown with just 21 seconds left in the game.
Dallas against Washington was a Pro Heel matchup. Ryan Switzer had seven receiving yards for the Cowboys. Zach Brown had four assists and eight tackles for Washington.
Eric Ebron took the field for the Detroit Lions and finished with 58 receiving yards in the Lions’ loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers.
The Oakland Raiders played the Buffalo Bills. Elijah Hood made his NFL debut since being promoted by the Raiders. Hood saw multiple special-teams snaps on Sunday but has since then been waived due to Marshawn Lynch’s reinstatement. On the other side of the field, Brandon Tate had 24 receiving yards for the Bills.
Tre Boston had four tackles and one assist in the Los Angeles Chargers 21-13 loss to the New England Patriots.
Julius Peppers had two tackles, one sack, and one forced fumble for the Carolina Panthers as they beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 17-3.
